Microsurgical Root Canal Treatment - We have the most sophisticated equipment available to help us deliver state-of-the-art care.

Our armamentarium includes surgical microscopes, digital imaging, ultrasonics, digital radiography, MTA (mineral trioxide aggregate) and nickel-titanium instruments.  We are a paperless office and you may register online before your initial visit in order to save time.

Our practice meets and exceeds the highest standards of infection control advocated by the American Dental Association, the Centers for Disease Control and OSHA.  We utilize the latest barrier techniques and autoclave sterilization to eliminate any risk of cross-contamination.  Our priority is to provide state-of-the-art endodontic care while maintaining strict infection control protocol.

Prior to Treatment

Prior to treatment you will be asked to complete a medical history form and a general questionnaire on your symptoms.  It you have been advised by your physician or dentist to use antibiotic pre-medication because of a hip or cardiac prosthesis then please call our office for instructions before the day of your scheduled visit.  Please bring with you a list of all medications you are presently taking.

Treatment will be completed in one or more visits depending on the complexity of your tooth.  We will deliver the highest standard of care and your appointment will be painless.

If an injury causes a tooth to be completely knocked out of your mouth, it is important that you are treated immediately!  If this happens to you, keep the tooth moist.  If possible, put it back into the socket.  A tooth can be saved if it remains moist.  You can even put the tooth in milk or a glass of water (add a pinch of salt).  Your endodontist may start root canal treatment based upon the stage of root development.  The length of time the tooth was out of your mouth and the way the tooth was stored may influence the type of treatment you receive.

After Treatment - A record of your treatment will be sent to you restorative dentist.
